I have had an encounter with natural dog food that was probably like no other. This encounter with natural dog food was the most natural that I have ever seen, even to this day. I was studying abroad in Jamaica when I cam across natural dog food. We were at a small hostel in an ocean town that is not known for much except the jerk chicken. This being my first time to the Caribbean, I was mildly shocked at the huge presence of dogs, and how they were many things to many different people. I say that I was mildly shocked because I have been to foreign countries, and I do know that dogs are very different in most other countries. The hostel we stayed at had three dogs, all on the large side. The natural dog food that they were fed was incredible. The first time my group saw the natural dog food, one girl asked if it was dinner. The man cooking the natural dog food laughed, and said that it was for one of the female dogs, and she was pregnant. Just because she was pregnant was not the only reason why she was being fed such natural dog food. The other dogs at the hostel were also being fed natural dog food, and apparently it was just something they did there. I have seen the natural dog food in pet shops here in the United States, and I have to say that it does not compare to this truly natural dog food in Jamaica. The natural dog food that you see here in the states is still bagged, and it is still heavily processed. I am not in anyway saying that the natural dog food in the states is bad for your dog. My girlfriend recently switched to better food for her dog. She says that although the price is higher, she can really notice a difference in the dogs mood and behavior. She also claims that the dog has more energy on walks. You may not have the time to give your dog the most natural dog food, like the stuff I saw in Jamaica, but you can still find quality food.
